Areas of Expertise
Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (CPTSD)
CPTSD is the “death by a thousand papercuts” version of traditional PTSD. In CPTSD, the “papercut” traumas usually occurred during developmental periods of childhood and adolescence and their effects compound over time. CPTSD can be particularly stubborn in responding to talk therapy alone which is why I recommend the incorporation of eye movement desensitization & reprocessing (EMDR) in treatment.
Postpartum Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMAD)
The nastier cousin of the Baby Blues, PMAD is the umbrella term for postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, postpartum obsessive compulsive disorder, and postpartum psychosis. Becoming a mother is a bigger shift than some realize and while they are often debilitating, these disorders are treatable and reversible.
Grief & Loss
Loss in life is inevitable and while mourning and grieving are normal, healthy processes that we all experience differently, some people get stuck. That “stuckness”, called complicated grief, is the when the thought of moving forward in life after loss feels impossible for a protracted period of time. If you’ve experienced loss and asked yourself “Will I feel like this forever?”, I’m here to tell you that you don’t have to and I can help.

Attachment Issues
Your past is a sneaky little sneak. If you’re struggling with relationship issues, whether romantic, friendship or professional, there is a good chance patterns from your past are impacting your present in ways you haven’t yet identified. We will take a trip down memory lane together and identify those patterns. We can’t change the past but we can change how the past impacts your future.

Anxiety & Depression
The “greatest hits” of therapy. The root cause of your persistent anxiety and depression may surprise you. Once identified, we will treat the root cause perpetuating the anxiety and depression cycles making them more manageable.
My Approach
No two clients who find their way to therapy are the same and their treatment shouldn’t be either. We will work as a team to identify which therapeutic model works for you.
My approach to therapy is integrative in that I pull from different therapeutic theories to maximize effectiveness.
During treatment, I pull from psychodynamic therapy, attachment theory, internal family systems (IFS), gestalt therapy, schema therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy and others as we work together to find your best path forward.
The goal is not to keep you in therapy forever. The goal is to get you to the version of life you feel good about.
